According to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, UK Prime Minister Starmer may send thousands of intercepting drones to the Middle East.
The report states that these intercepting drones are part of the "Octopus" anti-drone interception system manufactured by the UK for Ukraine to combat Russia. Currently, British military officials are assessing whether these intercepting drones could strengthen defenses against Iranian drones (Shahed), which have an estimated monthly production capacity of thousands of units.
On March 14 (local time), US President Trump urged the UK to dispatch ships to the Strait of Hormuz to pressure Iran to relinquish control over this crucial oil passage. Recently, Trump publicly expressed dissatisfaction on social media regarding the UK government's approach to the "US-Iran conflict."
