According to Xinhua News Agency, the World Table Tennis (WTT) has announced new leadership appointments.

Liu Guoliang, who served as the first-ever WTT Board Chair since October 2022, has stepped down from the role. The position will now be held by Petra Sorling, President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

Under the ITTF Executive Committee's revised division of responsibilities, Petra Sorling and ITTF Executive Vice President Wahid Oshodi will now represent the ITTF on the WTT Board. They replace Liu Guoliang and Khalil Al-Mohannadi in their respective roles.
