On the sidelines of this year's National Two Sessions, Junius Ho, a Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and a Hong Kong member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC),
was asked to summarize the Two Sessions in three words. He responded, "Very effective, efficient, and fruitful." Ho said the policy rollout and lawmaking over the past five years have delivered "remarkable" results, pointing to China's ability to maintain growth despite geopolitical pressure and global instability.
Looking ahead, he voiced confidence in the next Five-Year Plan and highlighted a term that stood out to him in the work report—"China Services." In his view, the concept signals an upgrade of traditional services powered by technology and AI, potentially driving a sharp rise in efficiency in the years to come, which could enhance productivity across various sectors such as healthcare, finance, and transportation.
