On the sidelines of this year's National Two Sessions in Beijing, Hong Kong NPC deputy Wilson Shum Ho-kit spoke with Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, a member of the Hong Kong delegation to the National People's Congress (NPC).
Fok said the country's steady progress over the past five years has built confidence for the 15th Five-Year Plan, and stressed the importance of continued opening-up—an area where Hong Kong can play a unique role. He also highlighted the rising profile of sports and culture in national planning, advocating broader public participation to support a "Healthy China," and outlined proposals covering sports, culture, middle-income development, and Hong Kong's aviation sector—including strengthening connectivity through Hong Kong International Airport as the city expands capacity.
