Cathay Pacific, in collaboration with the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, on March 9 unveiled a new art-liveried aircraft named "Spirit of Hong Kong – 80th Anniversary Edition," which will enter service immediately.
The unveiling ceremony was held this afternoon at Hong Kong International Airport. A DotDotNews reporter at the scene observed that the aircraft features Cathay Pacific's "80 Years Together" anniversary logo and the West Kowloon brand emblem. The belly of the aircraft is adorned with vibrant splashes of blue, red, pink, and green in an ink-wash style, creating a striking and colorful appearance.
According to the introduction, the aircraft's livery was created by Hong Kong cross-media artist Victor Wong using AI-controlled robotics. Wong said his inspiration came from the unique interplay of colors between Hong Kong's mountain ranges and urban landscapes, hoping to showcase the city's diversity to the world through the artwork.
