Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee departed for Beijing this morning (March 3) to attend the opening meeting of the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress, which will be held on March 5.
Before entering the airport, Lee greeted reporters with a cheerful "Good morning." He is expected to return to HK on March 5 after attending the meeting.
During his absence, Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan will serve as the acting Chief Executive.
