National security is crucial to Hong Kong's long-term development. The conviction of Jimmy Lai in accordance with the law is an important manifestation of safeguarding national security, implementing the Hong Kong National Security Law, and upholding the rule of law in Hong Kong. It holds great significance for preventing, stopping, and punishing acts that endanger national security, as well as maintaining the authority of the rule of law.
