According to the Global Times on Feb. 3, the US Department of Justice has recently released the remaining files related to the late American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These documents have implicated numerous political and business elites in the US and Europe, as well as prominent royal figures.
On Feb. 1, Norway's national broadcaster NRK reported that the newly released Epstein case files contained hundreds of references to Norway's Crown Princess, Mette-Marit. The emails reveal that she and Epstein discussed his predatory behavior and arranged multiple in-person meetings.
In a statement issued on Feb. 1, Mette-Marit expressed regret over her interactions with Epstein, calling them "poor judgment" and "simply embarrassing."
Epstein referred to Mette-Marit affectionately as "Sweet Heart" in their exchanges. In one conversation, Epstein mentioned traveling to France to find a lover, claiming French women make the best mistresses. Mette-Marit replied that Scandinavian women were superior.
