The high-speed rail service (Hong Kong section) operated by MTR Corporation has seen its largest service enhancement since opening, now reaching 110 direct stations across 19 provinces and municipalities nationwide. This includes the opening of 16 new stations, such as Nanjing, Wuxi, and Hefei, allowing many passengers to experience the reliability and convenience brought by the high-speed rail upgrades. Today (Jan. 27), high-speed rail also launched limited-time promotions, including "buy one, get one free" to thank passengers.

The newly added stations include Wuxi East Station, Nanjing South Station, Hefei South Station, Guluo East Station, Quanzhou East Station, Huidong Station, Huizhou South Station, Fuzhou South Station, Quanzhou South Station, Qingyuan Station, Shantou South Station, Huilai Station, Lufeng East Station, Chaoshan South Station, Lufeng South Station, and Xingning South Station. The new Shanghai Hongqiao line trains particularly serve key cities in the East China region, including Nanjing, Wuxi, and Hefei. MTR Corporation has collaborated with travel agencies to organize an inaugural tour, with over 400 passengers, including others, taking the first train on the new line.

The ticketing hall at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is also hosting a carnival event, featuring various game stalls and distributing souvenirs to attendees.

Celebrating the high-speed rail station's over 100 dual limited-time rewards has begun today, offering:

  • Buy One, Get One Free: Tickets between Hong Kong and Futian (available on HopeGoo, Klook, and Trip.com platforms)
  • Discounted tickets for Shenzhen and Guangzhou: A HK$20 discount on tickets between Hong Kong West Kowloon and Futian or Guangzhou South (available through selected agents).
