At 11:45 am today (Jan. 23), the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) cancelled the cold weather warning. The forecast for Jan. 24 predicts temperatures ranging between 14-19°C, with a force 4 northeasterly wind, later shifting to an easterly wind of the same strength.

On Monday, Jan. 26, the HKO forecasts intermittent rain with a minimum temperature of 18°C. The monsoon is expected to be replaced by a moderate to strong easterly airflow later tomorrow, bringing more clouds and humidity to the Guangdong coastal region early next week. A new northeast monsoon will likely affect the region in the middle to latter part of the week.

According to the HKO's nine-day weather forecast, temperatures will warm up to 18-21°C on Jan. 26, with Jan. 27 hitting a high of 23°C. Except for Feb. 1, which will see a low of 16°C, minimum temperatures for other days will range between 17-18°C. Jan. 30 (Friday) and Jan. 31 (Saturday) are expected to be mostly cloudy with a few light showers.

The Observatory predicts mostly cloudy weather today, with sunny and dry intervals in the afternoon and moderate northeasterly winds. Tomorrow morning will remain cool, with sunshine during parts of the day and a rise in temperature.
