On January 20 (local time), a Danish member of the European Parliament erupted in profanity while delivering a speech about Greenland, directly criticizing Trump. Danish member of the European Parliament Anders Vistisen addressed Trump by saying, "Let me put this in words you might understand, Mr. President—f**k off!"
The 38-year-old Vistisen stated that Greenland will not be sold, and his remarks escalated to the point of using language that violated parliamentary rules. He continued speaking in Danish but was interrupted by the Vice-President of the European Parliament, who warned him to be mindful of his words and cautioned him that he would face consequences.
Reports indicate that this member had made similar statements a year ago, on the second day of Trump's second term.
