The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2026 kicked off this morning (Jan. 18), attracting over 70,000 participants. Among them was renowned actor Chow Yun-fat, who was spotted by netizens at the starting line of the 10K race. Around 8 am, Chow appeared at the Island Eastern Corridor start point, looking in good shape as he greeted and took photos with other runners.
The 70-year-old Chow Yun-fat participated in the Standard Chartered Marathon for the first time in 2023, running the 10K race. He then switched to the half-marathon in 2024 and 2025, but this year returned to the 10K. This morning, he donned race number T3936 and started in the seventh group.
At Victoria Park, many local celebrities and artists were seen crossing the finish line, including Carlos Chan and his wife, Shiga Lin, Nicholas Yuen, Roxanne Ho, Maggie Wong, and Alton Wong. Additionally, Rex Tso participated in the 10K and finished with an impressive time of 39 minutes and 13 seconds.
