Korean popular boy band BTS announced last night (Jan. 13) that they will hold concerts in Hong Kong in March 2027, marking their return to the city after an eight-year absence.
The world tour, titled "BTS WORLD TOUR," is scheduled to kick off on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, before moving to Tokyo, Japan. The tour will then continue to Mexico, the southern United States, Europe, North America, and South America, before returning to Asia in November. The Hong Kong leg of the tour is set for March 4, 6, and 7, 2027, with three performances in total. Details regarding the concert venue and ticket sales have not yet been released.
In December 2022, Jin, the eldest member of the group, became the first to enlist for mandatory military service, followed by the other six members. In June of last year, Jungkook, the youngest member, completed his military service, becoming the last member to finish his duty. Rumors about BTS's full-group comeback had been circulating at the time. Now, after much anticipation, BTS has officially announced the world tour.
