Emperor Cinemas announced today (Jan. 12) that its branch at Ma On Shan's MOSTown will cease operations immediately. All movie gift certificates, complimentary tickets, or discount coupons issued by Emperor Cinemas (Ma On Shan) can be used at the other eight Emperor Cinemas locations in Hong Kong within their validity period. Details are subject to the terms and conditions printed on the vouchers.

Additionally, all movie gifts originally scheduled for pickup at Emperor Cinemas (Ma On Shan) can be collected at Emperor Cinemas Plus+ (The Wai) starting Jan. 19, 2026.

The Emperor Cinemas at Ma On Shan MOSTown was originally the Ma On Shan Theatre, which opened in 1995.
