At around 4 a.m. today (Jan. 10), a fire broke out in the alley behind a party room located at 18–20C Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The fire ignited debris in the alley, producing intense flames and thick smoke, forcing nearby guesthouse residents to evacuate urgently.
Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the blaze within about 10 minutes. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the fire is suspicious. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Police have classified the case as "arson" and are pursuing the suspect while investigating the motive behind the incident.
According to sources at the scene, the party room operates 24 hours a day. At the time of the fire, only a female staff member was present, with no customers on-site. Familiar with the surroundings, she managed to escape unscathed and later stayed at the scene to assist with the investigation.
