During the Christmas holiday, Hong Kong recorded over 1.18 million cross-boundary movements on Dec. 26, according to figures released by the Immigration Department. Among them, more than 622,000 people entered HK, while over 558,000 departed the city.
For inbound traffic, over 75,000 mainland visitors entered HK, with the majority arriving via the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station. The Lok Ma Chau Spur Line and Lo Wu Control Points ranked second and third, respectively, as the most popular entry points for mainland travelers.
For outbound traffic, over 436,000 HK residents departed the city. The Lo Wu Control Point was the most frequently used boundary crossing, followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line and the Shenzhen Bay Port.
