US President Donald Trump announced on Dec. 22 that the US Navy will build two new "Trump-class" battleships, which he described as the "largest" vessels in the Navy's history, boasting combat capabilities "a hundred times" stronger than current fleet ships.
Speaking at a press conference held at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Trump revealed that the construction of the first two battleships will begin soon, with plans to quickly expand the fleet by adding another eight ships.
The total number of "Trump-class" battleships is projected to reach between 20 and 25.
