As the year draws to a close, Hong Kong is preparing to welcome 2026 with a dazzling array of festive events and activities, promising a memorable December for locals and tourists alike. From enchanting winter wonderlands to world-class concerts and cultural exhibitions, the city is set to sparkle with holiday cheer.
A Winter Wonderland Awaits
Central will be magically transformed into a "Christmas Town" at Statue Square Gardens, featuring a captivating immersive light show. From now until Jan. 4, 2026, iconic buildings, including the Bank of China Tower, HSBC Headquarters, and the Legislative Council Complex, will become canvases for a spectacular 30-minute, nightly synchronised display. Showtimes are from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM (Monday-Friday) and 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM (weekends and public holidays), with extended hours until 1:00 AM on Dec. 24, 25, and 31.
Adjacent to the Christmas Town, a charming cluster of 12 festive chalets will offer handmade cookies, chocolate gifts, mulled wine, and DIY workshops for Christmas wreaths and candle holders. Connecting this festive heart, Chater Road will become a "Starlight Boulevard" from Dec. 10 to Feb. 22, 2026, with its footbridges and railings adorned in a golden-orange glow, creating a perfect romantic stroll.
Music Takes Centre Stage
1. Zhou Shen "ShenShen's" Concert (Dec. 31, 2025 & Jan. 1, 2026): Ring in 2026 with the captivating voice of Zhou Shen at the Kai Tak Sports Park. Experience a magical countdown as music and light converge to create an unforgettable New Year's Eve.
2. CHROMOSOME Universe New Year Countdown Show (Dec. 31, 2025): Join Lay Zhang and the CHROMOSOME family artists at the AXA x Wonderland in West Kowloon Cultural District for a high-energy New Year's Eve celebration against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour.
3. Jacky Cheung "60+" Concert Tour – Hong Kong Finale (Dec. 23, 2025 – Jan. 24, 2026): The legendary Jacky Cheung returns to the Hong Kong Coliseum for a series of concerts throughout December and January, offering a timeless soundtrack to the holiday season.
