In a highly anticipated mixed doubles match held in the evening, the Mainland's Lin Shidong and Kuai Man faced off against the host team's Wong Chun-ting and Doo Hoi-kem. The Chinese pair delivered a dominant performance, securing a straight-set victory (11-9, 11-4, 11-4) to advance to the next round.

Despite a timeout adjustment by the Hong Kong team, which helped them pull back one point, they struggled to contain the pair's relentless offense. Lin and Kuai continued to pile on the points, ultimately sealing the match 11-4 and securing a convincing 3-0 overall win.
