Japanese pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki has officially announced the cancellation of her Asia tour finale, originally scheduled for January 10, 2026, in Macao.
Yesterday (Dec. 9), Hamasaki posted a statement in both Japanese and English on her personal Instagram, confirming the cancellation of the Macao concert. She stated that after extensive discussions between her record label Avex and the organizers, she received notification that the concert could not take place as planned.
In the statement, Hamasaki apologized to her long-awaited Asian fans and expressed that she was "deeply saddened" by this outcome, lamenting that she could not conclude her Asia tour, which had been 16 years in the making, on a high note.
In light of the cancellation in Macao, Hamasaki assured her fans that she would create opportunities to meet them again and plans to give priority for future tour tickets to fans who hold tickets for the Shanghai and Macao shows. She emphasized that "our bond is eternal" and stated she would not easily give up.
The organizers have started arranging for ticket refunds. Affected ticket holders can find specific refund details through the original purchasing channels, such as Macao ticket or Cotai Ticketing.
