The SAR government held a memorial service at the Government Headquarters yesterday (Nov. 29) to mourn the victims of the tragic fire in Tai Po. Flags were flown at half-mast on all government buildings and facilities across Hong Kong as a mark of respect.

Meanwhile, many citizens visited the Kwong Fuk Sitting-out Area to lay flowers in memory of the victims. Today (Nov. 30), a large number of citizens continued to bring flowers to the vicinity to pay their respects. At 9:30 a.m., a DotDotNews reporter observed that many citizens had already gathered near Wang Lok Court to lay flowers, with some seen weeping as they walked.
