A deadly No. 5 fire broke out at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, resulting in multiple casualties. In this devastating fire, rescue efforts extended beyond human residents to include pets.
Alongside the urgent efforts to save human lives, Hong Kong's firefighters demonstrated a commitment to all living beings, rescuing numerous pets from the burning apartments. Dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, parrots, hamsters, and other animals were among those brought to safety, offering a glimmer of hope to residents who had been separated from their beloved companions.
Many residents who were reunited with their pets expressed profound gratitude to the firefighters and rescue teams.
