The 2025 MAMA Awards, set to light up Hong Kong on November 28 and 29, have confirmed beatboxer Wing as a Day 2 performer, adding a thrilling new act to their roster.
The announcement, made today (Nov. 24), has sent a wave of excitement through the global K-pop fans, particularly due to Wing's collaboration history with one of the other headline acts: the iconic G-Dragon.
Wing is a South Korean beatboxer and a member of BEATPELLA HOUSE. In 2018, he won the Asia Beatbox Championship, which solidified his place on the beatboxing scene.
This year, Wing collaborated with G-Dragon during this K-pop legend's world tour, "Übermensch". Their performance featured a beatbox-infused version of G-Dragon's solo debut hit, "Heartbreaker," which showcased a powerful fusion of raw vocal percussion and charismatic stage presence.
The inclusion of Wing on the MAMA roster is a strategic move that highlights the awards show's commitment to celebrating diverse and boundary-pushing artistry. His unique talent for creating complex rhythms and soundscapes using only his voice adds a distinct, unpredictable element to the performances.
With G-Dragon also set to perform on the same day, speculation is now running high about a potential on-stage reunion on the MAMA stage. The possibility of another collaborative performance between the beatbox virtuoso and the K-pop king has become one of the most anticipated questions.
