The Hong Kong Palace Museum announced on Nov. 23 that over 16,000 visitors attended the "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums" in the past four days. During the peak visitor flow over the weekend, the museum faced some challenges in managing the crowd. As a result, starting at 11 am on Nov. 23, sales of same-day tickets were temporarily suspended. They resumed ticket sales at 3:30 pm in response to the situation on-site. The exhibition hall has also been specially opened until 8 pm yesterday.
The museum stated that it will continue to review arrangements to optimize the visitor experience and thanked the public for their understanding and patience. They hope to improve the operation of the exhibition to provide a better experience for attendees.
Additionally, the museum indicated that the "Pharaoh cat plush toy series" has sold out, and the team is working hard to restock. Customers can scan a QR code outside the gift shop to fill out an online reservation form, and they will be notified when the items are back in stock.
