Hong Kong star Francis Ng recently took a bus in the city and was questioned by the driver for using the $2 Scheme, with the driver suspecting him of "using someone else's pass." Ng immediately produced his ID card to prove his eligibility. In fact, the actor is already 63 years old and fully qualified to use the JoyYou Card for travel.
In a Weibo post on Nov. 4, Ng shared several photos from his bus ride and recounted the incident. He wrote: "After I tapped my card, the driver got upset and almost made me get off the bus! I explained that it wasn't intentional—I just look this way naturally. Please check my ID." In the pictures, Ng wore a fisherman's hat and a white shirt, a youthful style that apparently raised the driver's suspicions.
The post sparked lively discussions online. One netizen noticed the priority seat behind him and joked, "Why didn't they offer you a seat?" Ng humorously replied, "Haven't I been through enough already?" Many other comments praised the actor, with remarks such as: "Big bro looks really young," "Blame it on you being too handsome and youthful," "He looks 40 at most," "Can you believe he's in his 60s?" and "He genuinely doesn't look over 60."
