At the 2025 National Games, Quan Hongchan—once the little girl carried on the back of her senior teammate Xie Siyi—has now grown into the affectionate and responsible "Auntie Hong," helping care for her senior's child and winning over fans not just with her talent, but also with her warmth.
In the women's synchronized 10-meter platform diving team event, Quan made a strong return to competition after six months, partnering with newcomer Wang Weiying. Despite being a newly formed duo, the two displayed remarkable synchronicity and composure, earning a top combined score over three rounds and securing the first gold medal in diving for Team Guangdong, successfully defending their title.
After the victory, Quan was elated. During the award ceremony, she enthusiastically interacted with the crowd, and afterward, she ran toward the stands to catch plush toys and gifts cheerfully thrown by her fans—once again showing her immense popularity and charming personality.
When asked to comment on Quan's performance in her comeback debut, teammate Chen Yiwen gave the highest praise in just four words: "Amazing. Truly amazing!"
