Drawing over 1,000 participants, the "Peak Runner" event was successfully held on Oct. 29. It was organized by the Wong Tai Sin District Committee of the Kowloon Federation of Associations together with Wong Tai Sin District Office of the Home Affairs Department and Committee of International Association of Lions Clubs District 303, Hong Kong & Macao, China.
Through racing and hiking routes, this event immerses participants in the unique ecological and cultural tapestry of Wong Tai Sin's wilds.
The event combined sportsmanship with nature, promoting public fitness and the sporting ethos.
The organizing association stated that the hike paid tribute to the Double Ninth Festival, the National Games spirit, and rallied community support for national sports development.
The District Officer in Wong Tai Sin added that the event championed Hong Kong's "Lion Rock Spirit" and boosted positive energy in the community.
