The White House website has recently updated its "Major Events Timeline" section, adding entries that detail scandals involving former Democratic presidents. This move is seen as a direct provocation by President Donald Trump's administration against the Democratic Party, following the controversial decision to dismantle the East Wing for a new banquet hall.
As reported by The New York Post, the "Major Events Timeline" page, traditionally used to document White House renovation projects, now includes references to controversies surrounding former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as current figures such as Joe Biden. Among the additions are the 1998 sex scandal between Clinton and former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and a 2012 photo showing members of the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization alleged to have ties to Hamas, attending a White House event during the Obama administration.
The Trump administration also listed the 2023 incident where cocaine was discovered at the White House, accompanied by a photo of President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, smoking in a bathtub. An entry records a transgender awareness event held on the White House lawn during the Biden administration, paired with a topless photo of transgender model Rose Montoya.
Deputy White House Communications Director Kaelan Dorr commented on the updates via social media, describing it as a surprise for history lovers.
