According to a recent report by Xinhua News Agency citing French media, after the robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris, some jewelry items have been transferred to the vault of the Banque de France for safekeeping.

French RTL radio reported, citing multiple sources, that these items were escorted by police on Oct. 24 and transported to the Banque de France vault located just a few hundred meters from the museum. The details of the items remain unclear, but several royal jewels that were originally displayed in the Apollo Gallery at the scene of the robbery, as well as some jewelry that had previously been exhibited in the museum, are among those transferred.

Reports indicate that the bank is storing these items in its main vault, which is located 26 meters underground and houses about 90% of France's gold reserves. Notably, several notebooks by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci, valued at over €600 million, have also been kept in this vault for many years.

Around 9:30 am on the Oct. 19, four masked individuals arrived outside the Louvre, coordinated their actions, and used a lifting device to enter the building from an external balcony, stealing displayed jewelry. Within minutes, nine pieces of jewelry were taken, including a crown belonging to Empress Eugénie, which has since been recovered by the police. This robbery has raised public concerns about the Louvre's security measures. Paris prosecutors estimate that the economic losses caused by the robbery amount to €88 million.
