Earlier, Sammi Cheng suffered a back injury, but yesterday (Oct. 25), she attended a public event looking vibrant and energetic. She stepped onto the stage with a spring in her step and even jumped a few times, stating that her back injury has nearly fully recovered.
Sammi mentioned that she still cannot engage in heavy exercise for now. Previously, while working out at the gym, she accidentally strained her back due to a moment of distraction. Fortunately, the injury is not too severe, and she feels grateful for that. She joked about her age, saying that she now has to be mindful of her limits when exercising. After the concert, she plans to rest and focus on rehabilitation exercises to strengthen her back muscles. As for whether her performance with Hins Cheung at the concert on Nov. 1 will be affected or if any changes need to be made, Sammi said she intends to perform as usual without holding back and does not require any adjustments.
Sammi noted that after her injury, she has been a very good patient and has not dared to move around carelessly. However, during her recovery, she did not change her diet, which resulted in some weight gain. She said that as she resumes rehearsals and practices, her weight is gradually coming down, but she is still a few pounds away from her goal. She emphasized that her health comes first, and in the past, being slimmer made her feel uneasy. She added, "If I'm a bit heavier, then I'm a bit heavier. People can be of different sizes; I'm still Sammi Cheng at all times. I like having a bit of fat on me."
