The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) announced today (Oct. 22) that a strong northeast monsoon has brought slightly cooler weather to the city. As of 8:40 a.m., the temperature dropped to 18.4°C, marking the lowest recorded temperature this autumn so far.
In addition, the outer rainbands of Severe Tropical Storm "Fengshen" are currently affecting coastal Guangdong and the northern South China Sea, bringing occasional showers to these areas.
According to the Observatory's forecast, winds will remain strong tomorrow, although the weather will improve during the day with temperatures expected to rise. However, localized flooding may occur in some low-lying coastal areas at night. Looking ahead, the next two to three days will see periods of sunshine, with dry conditions during the daytime.
