The history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is not only the legacy of one nation but a shared memory of humanity, reflecting justice, sacrifice, and peace.
On Sept. 27, China Retold invited foreign friends and local youth to visit the exhibition "United in Arms, Standing for Peace–80th Anniversary of Chinese Victory in the War of Resistance Exhibition" at the Hong Kong Museum of History. Through themes such as Japan's invasion of China and China's nationwide resistance, it highlights the country's significant contributions as the main battlefield in the East to the global fight against fascism.
Brandon from Zimbabwe shared that the exhibition gave him a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese history and a deep appreciation for the resilience of the Chinese people. Ashly from Kenya remarked that the exhibition was rich in content, allowing her to learn about China's sacrifices and contributions during World War II. She expressed hope for more opportunities to share these historical stories with her friends in Africa. Nebra from Pakistan said that participating in such commemorative events made her feel more connected to the diversity and inclusivity of HK.
The echoes of history have transformed into heartfelt hopes for the future. The 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China is coming up, and international friends have also extended their sincere wishes to China and its people.
Let's watch the video and listen to what they said!
