Typhoon Ragasa, now downgraded to a severe typhoon, continues to move west-northwest. The typhoon caused flooding in several streets in Macao, reportedly due to seawater backflow, which carried fish onto flooded roads.
Videos circulating online show numerous residents, armed with buckets, fishing nets, and other tools, wading into knee-deep water to catch the stranded fish.
In one video, a resident is seen grabbing a large fish with their bare hands, eliciting cheers and laughter from the surrounding crowd. The joyful scenes sparked reactions on social media, with some netizens jokingly calling Macao a "fishing village," while others said, "Dinner just got upgraded" and "Finding joy amidst the storm."
