Super Typhoon Ragasa is currently affecting Hong Kong. In areas like Heng Fa Chuen, Tseung Kwan O, and Lei Yue Mun, seawater levels are rising, accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds crashing against the shore, which is extremely dangerous. Today (Sept. 24), a video circulating online shows someone seemingly watching the waves during the typhoon. Two women and a child were knocked down by a massive wave, but fortunately, they were not swept into the sea. After the wave receded, the three were still in shock, tightly holding onto the railing.

Yesterday (Sept. 23), a tragic incident occurred when a family of four was watching the waves. A mother and her son were swept away by the waves, and the father jumped into the sea to rescue them. Ultimately, all three were rescued and taken to the hospital, but the 38-year-old mother remains in critical condition.

The police stated that Super Typhoon Ragasa is extremely powerful. Although Typhoon Signal No. 10 has been lifted, Signal No. 8 is still in effect, and the entire city remains in a high-risk state. There are still potential dangers on the roads, such as standing water, fallen trees, and scaffolding. Citizens are urged not to let their guard down. The police especially remind everyone that during extreme weather, it is best to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. Do not take risks by chasing the wind; stay in a safe place to protect yourself and your family.
