Customs officers recently discovered a male traveler at the Shenzhen Bay boundary who had entered the customs control area without declaring his items. The officers conducted a routine inspection of the traveler, during which he was observed making movements as if to cover his buttocks.
Upon further inspection, customs officers found one vape concealed in the traveler's rectum, with the vape oil appearing brown and weighing 12.86 grams. Subsequent forensic analysis confirmed that the vape oil contained tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The case has now been handed over to the customs anti-smuggling department for further processing.
Customs reminds the public that cannabis is classified as a controlled narcotic in China. Smuggling, selling, transporting, or manufacturing drugs, regardless of the quantity, will be subject to criminal liability and penalties.
