Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee will present his fourth Policy Address on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Taking to social media, Lee revealed that he and his team will wear specially designed ties and scarves on the day, crafted by students and staff from the Technological and Higher Education Institute of HK. These accessories, which hold significant meaning, are green to align with the theme color of this year's Policy Address.

For the first time, AI technology has been used in a promotional video to generate visuals of Lee from the past three years, showcasing innovation in the run-up to the announcement.

The design of the ties and scarves is inspired by three of HK's iconic bridges:

  1. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, symbolizing closer integration within the Greater Bay Area.
  2. The Tsing Ma Bridge, representing global connectivity as the gateway to the HK International Airport.
  3. The Ting Kau Bridge, reflecting deep regional integration and harmonious development in the northwest New Territories.

Lee emphasized that HK boasts world-class infrastructure and a sophisticated transportation network, with its bridge construction expertise recognized worldwide. The bustling daily traffic on these bridges reflects HK's vibrancy and prosperity, underscoring its unique role as a "super connector" and "super value-adder."

Lee reiterated HK's commitment to serving as a dual-platform for bringing in external opportunities while facilitating local enterprises to expand outward.
