The new Policy Address will be officially announced on September 17. Chief Executive John Lee visited several elderly residents living alone and couples over the past two weekends in Kwun Tong and Eastern District to understand their daily lives and needs. Yesterday (Aug. 30), he visited an elderly center and had a delightful conversation with a 106-year-old "mahjong expert."
Today (Aug. 31), John Lee posted a video on social media mentioning his encounter with the 106-year-old mahjong player during his visit to the elderly center. He asked the elder about the mahjong rules he usually plays, and the elder confidently replied. Despite being over a century old, the elder was still quite spirited and spoke loudly, prompting Lee to express his admiration for him.
