The Chief Executive, John Lee, has announced that a new Policy Address will be delivered on Sept. 17. In light of this, we conducted street interviews in Hong Kong, speaking with foreign tourists to gain insights into their experiences regarding transportation, shopping, and safety.
Many visitors expressed that Hong Kong's transportation system is very convenient, with the use of the MTR and trains making them feel comfortable and efficient. A tourist from the US mentioned, "We're only supposed to stay here for two nights, but ended up extending it to a week." They praised the local shopping environment, noting that the products available are diverse and unique.
On the topic of safety, tourists did not hesitate to express their high satisfaction. Travelers from California stated, "I feel very safe here; I can even go out at 2 am without worry." They also gave high marks to Hong Kong's low tax rates, friendly business environment, and quality education system.
When asked for tourism suggestions for the Hong Kong government, tourists from Europe expressed great interest in Hong Kong's history and culture. They hope for more promotional activities in Europe to help more people understand Hong Kong's unique charm and rich experiences.
This street interview not only showcases Hong Kong's allure as "Asia's World City" but also provides valuable feedback for the upcoming Policy Address, reflecting the high recognition and expectations tourists have for various aspects of Hong Kong.
