On Aug. 16, TEAMWANG Records announced the cancellation of today's Jackson Wang fan signing event, stating, "Mr. Jackson Wang was rushed to the emergency room at midnight last night due to sudden food poisoning. He is currently receiving proper treatment and requires rest for recovery."
The agency will arrange a new date for the fan signing event and prepare a compensation plan.
It is reported that Wang had originally planned to hold the "MUSIC KOREA Fan Signing Event" in South Korea on Aug. 16. According to multiple eyewitnesses, before falling ill, he had dined at a gejang (soy sauce crab) restaurant in Seoul. It is suspected that the high summer temperatures may have caused bacterial growth in the raw marinated seafood, leading to acute gastroenteritis.
