The Hong Kong Observatory has announced that the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, currently in effect, will remain in force until at least 11 a.m., based on the latest assessment at 9:05 a.m.
The Observatory issued the Black Rainstorm Warning at 7:50 a.m., citing the impact of intense thunderstorm bands associated with Tropical Storm "Podul." Heavy rains exceeding 70 millimeters per hour have already been recorded or are expected across many parts of HK, with the downpour likely to continue.
Due to severe road flooding and adverse weather conditions, the Observatory advises the public to stay in safe locations and take necessary precautions.
