The Tan Siu Lin Foundation today (Aug. 11) hosts a graduation ceremony at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, marking the successful completion of its four-day (July 25-28) study tour on marine eco-conservation in the Greater Bay Area under global warming.
Secondary school students (Form 1-4) from Strive and Rise Programme explore critical environmental sites, including wetlands in Macao and Nansha, Sun Yat-sen University's School of Marine Sciences, etc. The hands-on field studies deepen their understanding of regional conservation efforts.
"This unique exposure provides students with an invaluable window into China's eco-protection initiatives – experiences difficult to access individually. Such programs serve as vital springboards for youth engagement in sustainability", Foundation representative Mr. Jeffrey Tan highlights.
Host Connie Leung notes that participants gained foundational awareness of environmental projects through this program of field studies. Certificates were awarded, with students sharing transformative insights gained during the trip.
