The much-anticipated "Hong Kong Cat Expo 2025" opens today (Aug. 1) and runs until Aug. 3 at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. As HK's only large-scale event dedicated to cats, this year's expo adopts an "Ancient Egypt" theme, featuring over 180 exhibitors and 380 booths showcasing cat-inspired creative art, trendy toys, and lifestyle products from both local and international markets. It's a must-visit hotspot for cat lovers to shop and relax.
Pyramid photo spots and global creativity
A stunning 4-meter-tall pyramid and various art installations are among the highlights, including the "TutanMEOWmun" by painter LeonLollipop, inspired by the iconic "chubby-cheeked cat." The event also features trendy toys and creative products from countries such as China, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea, fostering international cultural exchange. Nostalgic HK-style street stalls will be showcased by local artist "Mandycat", blending local culture with feline elements. Additionally, the "Meowsterpieces" showcases cat-themed artworks by 20 artists from China, France, Japan, and more, in collaboration with Artaflo Collective and other organizations.

CFA cat show debuts in HK
For the first time, the World Cat Congress (WCC), known as the "United Nations of the Cat World," is hosting its CFA WCC Cat Show in HK, promoting international cat culture exchange. The event also includes seminars on cat care, covering topics like breeds, grooming, nutrition, and veterinary advice.

Exclusive gifts and prize draws
Visitors who like the event's official social media pages can receive a free cat-ear headband (limited to 2,000 pieces daily). Additionally, attendees who make purchases with Mastercard® are eligible to enter the "Scratch Card Lucky Draw" for a chance to win round-trip tickets to Tokyo, Seoul, or Taipei, among other prizes worth over HK$140,000. Popular photo spots featuring Hello Kitty, chubby-cheeked cats, and Mandycat installations add extra charm for cat enthusiasts.
