The 26th Ani-com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK 2025) officially launched today (July 25) at 10 a.m. at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre, drawing massive crowds of fans and tourists.
Among the first in line was Mr. Tse, a dedicated fan from Macao who has attended the expo five times. To secure a prime spot, he began his journey at 4:30 a.m., taking the shuttle bus across the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. His main goal for this year is to purchase a PS5 for his colleague and pick up accessories for his gaming console.
"This is the largest event of its kind in HK and Macao. I couldn't miss it," he said enthusiastically.
This year's expo has nearly doubled in size compared to last year, featuring 160 exhibitors and almost 800 booths. Fans can look forward to a wide range of exclusive, limited-edition, and first-release merchandise, as well as appearances by globally renowned voice actors and manga creators.
Notable highlights include the giant Tanjiro Kamado figure from the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle", the first-ever LEGO "One Piece" showcase in HK, and Hot Toys' movie scene installation from "The Fantastic Four: First Steps."
The expo also offers a gaming experience zone and comic exhibitions. On the main stage, star-studded events are planned, including appearances by Minori Chihara, Yuki Kaji, and anime singer Yui Makino. Fans will also have the chance to meet Japanese virtual idol group FUWAMOCO and rising Vtuber star Rica Hanamiya.
