The Labour Department will hold a multicultural workplace job fair on July 24 and 25 at the Macpherson Stadium in Mong Kok to promote employment opportunities for job seekers, including ethnic minorities.
This two-day job fair is co-organized by the Labour Department and the DAB Ethnic Minority Committee, with assistance from the Equal Opportunities Commission. Approximately 50 organizations will participate, offering over 2,300 quality job vacancies. Each day, around 25 organizations will set up booths at the venue for on-the-spot recruitment, with a wide variety of job categories available, including engineers, accounting officers, HR officers, customer service officers, administrative assistants, clerks, trainee aircraft maintenance engineers, trainee railway technicians, technical managers, systems analysts, equestrian affairs assistants, coffee brewers, spa massage therapists, junior nail technicians, and lifeguards.
The four disciplined services—Correctional Services, Fire Services, Hong Kong Police Force, and Immigration Department—will also have booths to introduce job opportunities and application requirements. Additionally, the DAB Ethnic Minority Committee will present services that support ethnic minorities. Training institutions will also be on-site to introduce training courses. Real-time interpretation services in Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali will be available. On July 24, various industry career talks will also be featured.
Of the vacancies at this job fair, about 93% are full-time positions, with most monthly salaries ranging from HKD 12,000 to HKD 22,000. Approximately 90% of the job vacancies require education at or below form 7, and around 66% of the positions do not require relevant work experience.
