Four top European football clubs—Liverpool, AC Milan, Arsenal, and Tottenham—are set to showcase their skills in Hong Kong. The Transport Department announced today (July 22) that special transport and transportation arrangements will be implemented around Kai Tak Sports Park and Hong Kong Stadium from July 24 to 31 to facilitate spectators attending the football events and training sessions.

AC Milan | July 25 (Friday) | Hong Kong Stadium |
Tottenham | July 29 (Tuesday) | Kai Tak Sports Park |

Public training sessions
Prior to the matches, the clubs will hold public training sessions on the evenings of July 24, 29, and 30 at Kai Tak Sports Park, and on July 25 at Hong Kong Stadium.
Due to the event's exit timing coinciding with peak afternoon hours, the MTR will increase the frequency of the Tuen Ma Line and Island Line as needed on the relevant days to accommodate passenger demand. The police will implement temporary road closures and diversions near Kai Tak Sports Park (depending on actual traffic and crowd conditions) and Hong Kong Stadium. Citizens are advised to follow the instructions of on-site police officers.

Football matches
The football matches will take place on the evenings of July 26 and 31 at Kai Tak Sports Park. Traffic in the surrounding area is expected to be busier, and spectators are encouraged to use public transport and avoid private vehicles (including cross-border private cars).
The Transport Department has coordinated with local and cross-border public transport service operators to enhance services during the exit periods. The MTR will increase the frequency of the Tuen Ma Line, and bus companies will provide a total of 11 special bus routes from the drop-off area on Sung Wong Toi Road to various locations, including Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port, the airport, and major areas in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
Additionally, cross-border bus services will be arranged to facilitate travelers returning to the mainland via Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Shenzhen Bay Port. Passengers must purchase tickets in advance, as there will be no ticket sales on-site after the event. Ticketing details can be found on the operators' websites: Wing On Travel; China Travel Bus.
As for taxi services, the drop-off area for taxis at the main venue in Kai Tak will be open for passenger pickups. The drop-off area on Sung Wong Toi Road will only be available for taxi drop-offs during the entry period (4:00 pm to 7:30 pm), while taxi pickups will be suspended during the exit period. Due to the anticipated large number of exiting attendees, waiting times may be longer; passengers are advised to be patient.
Spectators planning to return to the mainland on the same day after the event should take special note that if crossing via the Lo Wu Port, they need to catch the last relevant MTR Tuen Ma Line train, which departs from Sung Wong Toi Station at 10:59 pm and from Kai Tak Station at 11:01 pm, transferring at Tai Wai Station to the East Rail Line towards Lo Wu Station. Travelers should plan their journeys accordingly and arrive at the station platform early.
Travelers using the Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang Port (open 24 hours) can also take the East Rail Line to Sheung Shui Station and transfer to KMB bus routes 276B or N73, or directly take special bus route SP12 from the drop-off area on Sung Wong Toi Road to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange, transferring to the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross-border shuttle bus to return to the mainland.
