The Observatory issued the first No. 10 typhoon signal this year yesterday (July 20). The power of Hurricane Wipha caused many large trees to fall or objects to collapse in Hong Kong. Among them, a panda device placed in the garden of the Po Yap Road roundabout in Tseung Kwan O was blown to the roadside about 30 meters away by the strong wind, sparking heated discussions among netizens.
The panda display is approximately two meters high and was originally located in the garden of the Po Yap Road roundabout, opposite the Tseung Kwan O Plaza. Yesterday, when the No. 10 typhoon signal was issued, some netizens uploaded pictures showing that the panda had "run away" and was blown about 30 meters away by the strong wind. At 6 pm, some netizens pointed out that two police officers pushed the panda outside the crash barrier to avoid affecting traffic. Later, three staff members lifted the panda onto a construction vehicle and transported it away, ending its "running away".
The panda was sitting upright on the roadside, looking very cute, attracting many netizens to leave comments: "Wild pandas appeared in the city", "Maybe they are bored! Let's go out and have some fun", "Since we are here", "Are my sister and my son going to chase the wind?", "Finally, we can go out and explore the world."
