On July 14, Spain's Environment Ministry announced that 1,180 people had died from heat-related causes between May 16 and July 13. Most of the victims were aged 65 and above. The Spanish National Meteorological Agency forecasts another wave of extreme heat starting July 14, with temperatures expected to soar even higher.

Meanwhile, China is also experiencing an extensive and intense heatwave. On July 15, China's National Meteorological Center issued an orange alert for high temperatures. Over the next two days, the heatwave is expected to intensify, with regions including Guanzhong in Shaanxi, the Sichuan Basin, Henan, and Hubei potentially seeing temperatures exceed 40°C. In some areas, record-breaking heat may occur during this period.

At 6:45 a.m. today (July 15), the Hong Kong Observatory issued a hot weather warning, urging residents to take precautions in the prolonged heat. Residents are advised to stay hydrated to prevent heatstroke and dehydration. For those venturing outdoors, wearing light-colored, breathable clothing and staying in shaded or air-conditioned areas is recommended.

Individuals experiencing dizziness, fatigue, or other discomforts due to the heat should immediately rest in a cooler place and seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen. Special attention should be given to children and the elderly to ensure their well-being and prevent prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
