The Shandong aircraft carrier strike group is visiting Hong Kong for five consecutive days and opened to the public for the first time on the weekend (July 5-6). Vivian Kong, a member of the National Federation of Youth and the gold medalist in women's Épée at the Paris Olympics, also joined the public today (July 6) to board the Shandong, witnessing the remarkable progress of the nation's military capabilities.

Having the rare opportunity to step aboard the domestically produced aircraft carrier, Kong was excited in the morning. She took photos on the ferry and updated her social media. During the visit, she also signed autographs for the military personnel and took photos with the attending citizens and soldiers. Some people in the crowd expressed to reporters that Kong has a sweet smile and is very approachable.
After leaving the ship, Kong wore a blue hat with "Zhanjiang" written on it and waved cheerfully to the media present, flashing her signature smile.
