The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) recently published a Corruption Prevention Guide on Admission of Students for Tertiary Education Institutions on social media, aiming to ensure fairness and integrity in the admission process. Education Secretary Christine Choi expressed her support for the guide in a post today (July 3).
Choi highlighted that in response to public concerns about fraudulent qualifications, the ICAC not only assisted the eight major local universities in reviewing their admission processes and providing anti-corruption recommendations, but also efficiently completed a guide to address potential loopholes at the systemic level. The guide not only ensures fair opportunities for students competing for places but also sends a strong message globally about Hong Kong's zero-tolerance stance on corruption and academic fraud in the admissions process, underscoring the city's commitment to maintaining educational fairness and academic integrity.
