From today (July 3) to July 7, a naval fleet consisting of the aircraft carrier Shandong, the missile destroyers Yan'an and Zhanjiang, and the missile frigate Yuncheng visited Hong Kong.

Among them, the "10,000-ton destroyer" Yan'an (hull number 106) also appeared in Hong Kong waters. The 055-type "10,000-ton destroyer" is equipped with new air defense, anti-missile, anti-ship, and anti-submarine weapons, and has strong information perception, air defense and anti-missile, and sea strike capabilities. It is a landmark warship that marks a significant step in the navy's strategic transformation and development.

China's most advanced shield ship is the 055-type, which is not only the most advanced in China but also the most advanced shield ship in the world. On June 28, 2017, the Nanchang ship held a launching ceremony at the Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai. As the first domestically produced 055-type 10,000-ton destroyer, the Nanchang ship has broken through a series of key technologies, including the overall design of large ships, marking a leap for the People's Navy destroyer from the third generation to the fourth generation. The Yan'an ship is the newest one, with the hull number 106, and is the sixth ship of the 055-type destroyer.
